Damasteel DS93X Dense Twist Wilder Pro with Ancient Kauri wood scales
The Wilder Pro, based on the original Wilder but with a slightly larger and more contoured handle giving confidence in the control of the blade. This is my personal take on a compact knife designed to perform as an all round utility knife capable of handling all tasks needed of a knife on any adventure.
This one is handled in some absolutely stunning stabilised Ancient Kauri wood, Ancient Kauri wood is a very special wood also know as swamp Kauri. This timber is prehistoric Kauri trees (Agathis australis), buried and preserved in peat up to 50,000 years ago in New Zealand’s North Island. Buried under a swamp by an unexplained act of nature at the end of the last Ice Age, the trees have survived the centuries, sealed in a chemically balanced environment that has preserved the timber in almost perfect condition. This particular piece is carbon dated to be 30,000 to 50,000 years old. I have then stabilised it to make sure it’s going to stand the test of time. All in all a rather unique and special blade this one!
The blade is stunning Damasteel DS93X stainless Damascus making for a nice easy to care for but very pretty tool!
Comes with a right hand black leather sheath. Left hand sheaths available.
